Low cooling/NO cooling on old unit:
In 2010 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency began phasing out R-22 refrigerant and no longer allowed production. If your unit is older than 2010 and has lost it cooling capability due to leaking A-coil, condenser or other components, due to the extreme high prices and low availability, it may not be an option to repair or recharge your existing system. Also, if there is a leak in the copper A/C coil, that cost of the repair many times would be better spent towards purchasing a new system.
